TRANSITION

Goal:
Develop a compelling and original transition.
Pay special attention to how you can "move" people through time (transitions) and space (visual hierarchy).

Lately, I've been inspired by the slider effect. Pretty similar to a straight forward gallery, except that there is a slider to navigate through the menu, the user controls to view the items. Simple stuff using jQuery.

Interesting Navigation

Hmmm...This was quite an interesting project. Coming up with a very unique navigation while keeping webstandards and usability in mind was not as easy as I thought. I wanted to trying something different and stay away from rollover effects. As I went through my research I ended up finding most inspired by photo galleries. There are so many ways to display photos, why not incorporate them into a navigation?

Many of the problems that dyslexic students experience when learning come from the following difficulties:

* Difficulties in reading and writing
* Difficulties in recognizing or confusion between letters or familiar words
* Mispronunciations
* Difficulty in carrying out instructions
* Directional confusion
* Difficulty achieving automaticity (result of learning, repetition, and practicing)
* Problems with sequencing
* Difficulty organizing work

Multimedia has the potential to reduce or even remove such problems. Examples of media include: text, sound, graphics, video and animation. Combined together, the potential of multimedia to enhance learning has been for some dyslexic people the turning point in their lives. No longer are dyslexic students required to read and study pages and pages of text.

For example, learning materials, containing text, can be supplemented with and/or represented in graphical and auditory forms. Dyslexic students are able to comprehend meaning from what is being spoken about a picture.
